LOUET VICTORIA S95- NEW LOUET FOLDING WHEEL WITH CARRY BAG Folded the Victoria now measures 55 x 36 x 14 cm and weights 7.7 lbs. The Victoria now fits perfectly in the bag that we choose for it. This bag can be carried as a hand bag, a shoulder bag or a back pack. There will be a Victoria logo on the bag. It comes with the bag plus a lazy kate with two extra bobbins for a total of 3. The overall weight is 11.4 lbs in the bag. Because of the larger wheel and not changing the pulley, the ratio’s became higher, but Victoria’s from production series will have ratio’s varying from around 6:1 to 14:1. Later on we will develop an optional high speed set for ratio’s higher than 20:1. Wheel is scotch tension. Bobbins are approx. 3" diameter and 4" long overall. The Louet design team has been busy designing this modern, versatile wheel. Small, compact, the S45 is similar in size to the S40 and can spin both bulky fibers and very fine fibers.

The new S45 will be a unique, easily recognized Louët wheel. Our early observations are that it is sturdy, very portable and has a wide range of ratios: 7:1, 12:1, and 20:1

The Louet S-45 wheel arrived yesterday. I like it a lot. It's easy to spin on, and it will be perfect for traveling with. My nine-year-old daughter can even spin on it, and she's just a beginner. Mary R.

Louet wheels do not need lubrication. Louet wheels have 3 sealed bearings: 2 in the wheel main bolt assembly and 1 in the footman connector. If these bearings are oiled, the bearing seal will deteriorate and the bearing will wear. A worn bearing makes a "clanking" sound, and needs replacement.

If the wheel is squealing put a fine slick of petroleum jelly on the brass bearing, under the flyer orifice. Repeat as necessary. This is common in new wheels as the parts "wear into each other". After about 10 hours of spinning, the squealing sounds should dissipate.
