SCHACHT SPINNING WHEELS - ON SALE - CALL
Schacht Spinning Wheels have both Scotch Tension and Double Drive. With their wide range of optional ratios (4:1 to 27:5) they are suitable for beginners as well as experienced spinners. The 19.5" drive wheel and the flyer shaft are supported by self aligning bronze bearings for precise action. Each flyer is individually balanced and the bobbins and flyer whorls are trued on center for optimal performance. The flyer whorls have special square holes in the center which makes mounting them on the flyer shaft very quick, and they'll never loosen whether you're spinning S or Z. The flyer hooks are made of stainless steel. The rear legs of the wheel have non marring rubber feet and the front legs are adjustable to accommodate uneven floors. Treadling on the generously sized treadle(s) is light and comfortable. With the single treadle wheel you can use either foot or both feet. The new double treadle wheel has a split treadle which operates as a true double treadle wheel . It has a very positive smooth action. Wheels are made of hard maple and walnut and finished with a hand rubbed Danish oil. Shipped UPS, minimal set up time required.
